Please join MEChA de UW and La Raza Student Commission and stand in solidarity with those detained at the Northwest Detention Center. Transportation will be provided. La Raza Commission requests that you confirm your attendance by April 1st in order to secure enough UCARs.
Purpose of Saturday Solidarity Presence/Objeto de la Presencia Solidaria:
To show solidarity with detainees and their families/ Mostrar solidaridad con las personas detenidas y sus familias
To connect with family members of people who are detained and build the base by recording the contact information of visiting families/Para conectar con miembros de las familias de las personas que están detenidas y expandir la base de apoyo y guardar la información de contacto de las familias
To have a constant pressure and presence against ICE/GEO Group/Para tener una presencia constante en contra de ICE y GEO Group
Increase communication to and from more detainees/ Incrementar la comunicación de y hacia los detenidos
